Congratulations to Menaa who got married on 7th September! She looked absolutely stunning!
Menaa wore the beautiful Emma Wedding Hair Piece (BH-320) along with a white beaded bridal gown. Her gorgeous bouquet of roses in lovely pastel tones gave the finished touches for a soft romantic feel.
Menaa made her Emma Hair Piece one of a kind by bending the hair piece into a slightly different shape to suit the look that she wanted. Great idea Menaa!
Will a necklace look too much with a larger wedding hair piece or wedding headband?
It’s a question I’m often asked and does depend on a number of factors:
1. If your bridal gown is very detailed a lot of jewellery can be overdone – it’s best to stick with just a bridal hair piece as it’s further away from the dress than a necklace. A nice pair of medium size earrings will compliment the hair piece nicely. If your dress does not have a lot of detail you can be a little more adventurous as in the picture to the right. Hair up works best with this.
2. Are you a smaller person? If so, your jewellery is much closer together than on someone who is tall so it may be safer to choose between a necklace or a hair piece to avoid the “christmas tree” look! Wear a bracelet with your necklace or hair piece if you love jewellery so you’re not missing out. A taller person’s bridal jewellery is more spread out and they can get away with a bit more jewellery without being overdo
ne.
3. Think about your photos: Jewellery always looks less in photos than to the naked eye so if you love jewellery and want to make a statement with your jewels on your wedding day be careful not to under-do your jewellery and then be disappointed when you get your photos and your jewellery doesn’t really show up. Your photos last a lifetime so be yourself but don’t be scared to be adventurous with your jewellery and leave a lasting impression.
Sadly Brides of Melbourne went into liquidation on 5th May as most brides have already found out. Many also know that I supplied wedding jewellery to Brides of Melbourne and along with so many of you I have also lost a large amount of money as Brides of Melbourne had outstanding invoices for jewellery that I had already delivered to the store in the last 2 months. I had no knowledge whatsoever that anything was wrong there until I heard it on the news on Friday that the doors were closed and they had gone into administration.
As someone who has been involved in the wedding industry for 12 years and also got married last year I know how stressful a wedding can be on brides so my heart goes out to all of you have been caught up financially in this disaster. Please feel free to contact me directly for jewellery if you are a bride affected by this and I will supply to you wholesale as well as give you a much better customer service experience than what many of you are saying you received at Brides of Melbourne. I take much pride in giving brides the special attention and service that you deserve when you are leading up to one of the biggest and most exciting days in your life.
While this has made me a little edgy about supply wholesale anymore (this is not the first time I’ve had issues getting stores to pay for their goods) I will still continue to supply jewellery to Kylie J Bridal’s stores in Mitcham and Bruswick for the time being.
For those brides who have been affected don’t let this overshadow such a wonderful day in your life and remember that the most important thing is the relationship you have with the one you are going to share your life with.

My sister, Felicity, was married to Matthew on 20th January this year! She looked stunning in a dress by Stellini and of course she wore Bejewelled by Tracey wedding jewellery. Her gorgeous hair and make up was by the talented Dora at Strawberry Blonde Salon, beautiful bouquets and buttonholes by Stolidi and nails by Yvonne from Bio Sculpture 0433 573 464 .
Felicity chose for her bridal jewellery the Emma Wedding Hair Piece BSE-320, Baroque Pendant Bridal Earrings BSE-209P and the Felicity Bridal Cuff BSB-320. As Felicity was wearing glittery gold shoes we added some Swarovski Golden Shadow crystals into each peice to tie the jewellery in with her shoes. I designed the bridal cuff for Felicity to match in with the Emma Hair Piece.

Bejewelled by Tracey bridal jewellery is now in the Polka Dot Bride wedding directory! The Polka Dot Wedding Directory has an extensive listing of only the best wedding vendors so if you are planning your big day don’t miss this beautifully presented and easy to use bridal directory.
